I really enjoyed reading your post about Arthur Lessac and your history with him. Aren’t we fortunate to have had this wonderful training, and to know Arthur himself–and to witness his keynote address delivered in such an eloquent and passionate way by the man himself–who in less than a month will be 100 years old! I believe his energy, voice and physical presence are testimony to the work that he has developed, not only for all of us, but for himself as well. He’s always said that he has been his own ‘guinea pig’ for the vocal and body experiments he has taught. I have had the distinct honor of teaching alongside of him in various Summer Intensives, getting to know him on a personal level, and have always marveled at his brilliance yet humility and simplicity. He truly is a great man personally and professionally. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with his work, and with him with all your readers.
